20 weeks – half baked!

Half way done!  I can’t believe how fast it is going.  I have been feeling great.  I have started feeling consistent kicks and movement over the past week.  Jason has also been able to feel a few kicks.   Apparently I am really starting to look pregnant because yesterday at church I got lots of comments about how big I am now!

This weekend my parents came up to paint the nursery (well, Jason and my dad painted the nursery, my mom and I went shopping!).  The color looks great.  We ordered our nursery furniture and it will be delivered in 2 weeks.  Can’t wait to post more pictures as we put the nursery together!

20 week ultrasound!

Yesterday I had my 20 week ultrasound and everything was great!  Baby has a properly measuring brain and spine, 4 heart chambers, 2 kidneys, 1 bladder and a closed lip and nose.  The baby was breech (butt down) and had a foot in the way so the technician couldn’t even tell the sex of the baby!  I guess it was meant to be.  Baby weighed 11 ounces and we got to see him/her move a little bit, mainly opening and closing its mouth.  We got to look at the face for a while too, but it pretty much just looks like a skeleton right now.  We are thrilled to have a healthy baby and can’t wait to find out if it’s a boy or girl in another 20 weeks!

Open mouth and airway.

18 weeks

A little late, but here is my 18 week belly pic.  Nothing new to report.  I still feel really good!  Jason and I just got back from our vacation, so I’ll be posting lots of pictures of our vacation soon.  My 20 week ultrasound is Thursday!

16 weeks

I can’t believe I am already 16 weeks!  The past few weeks have gone by quickly, but we have got a lot accomplished.  We have picked out a lot for the nursery and even bought paint today.  I have been trying to research all kinds of baby gear to narrow down our choices.

My morning sickness is gone, but I have yet to get the 2nd trimester energy boost everyone talks about!  I am still exhausted most of the time, though this is pretty normal for me.  I am also hungry all the time!  Jason thinks it’s hilarious.

People have been asking me if I can feel the baby move yet.  I have been feeling tiny rumbles in my belly, but I still can’t decide if it is the baby or just my belly.  I guess I’ll find out in a few weeks!

Jason and I bought a new car a few weeks ago.  I will try to get pictures posted soon!

16 week appointment

Today I had my 16 week check up.  This was the first appointment I went to alone!  And of course, Baby Mobley was being stubborn.  The Dr. ended up finding him/her very low and he/she was moving so much she had a terrible time counting the heartrate.  Looks like we have an active little pumpkin.  The heart rate was around 150.  My next appointment (20 weeks!) will be on June 3rd.  We decided we are not finding out the sex of the baby, but are still looking forward to getting to see him/her again!

Nursery

Jason and I initially planned on buying bedding after the baby was born (because I wanted a gender specific nursery), but we found this last weekend and decided to do it instead!  It is gender neutral and very cute.  We aren’t going to buy the whole set, just the things we need. We are hoping to buy a sheet soon so we can decide what color to paint.  We have also picked out our furniture.  We are ready to get started!

My growing belly

We have been taking belly pictures every 2 weeks since 4 weeks, so I thought I would share some!  I am just now starting to look pregnant.  More to come!

Baby Mobley

On February 7th Jason and I found out I was pregnant!  I had my first ultrasound on March 3rd (6w6d) and we got to see a tiny little baby (or more like bean) and hear and see the heartbeat.  On April 5th (the same day we got to watch Butler play in the championship game!) I had my 12 week appointment and we got to hear the heartbeat again.  We were both very relieved to hear the heartbeat again.  We have also enjoyed watching my belly grow over the past few weeks and knowing our tiny baby is growing too!

More pictures and other fun coming soon!
